Join The Summer Celebration

You’re invited to join the Summer Celebration on Saturday 30th May from midday at The Dickens Inn.

Welcome in the summer where stories are shared as easily as drinks are poured and every visit feels like a gathering.

By the water’s edge, you’ll find a place where locals meet, travellers pause and friends come together. Whether it’s for a sunny afternoon pint, a long overdue catchup, or something worth celebrating. From weddings and parties to corporate occasions, our spaces have played host to it all, overlooking central London’s only marina.

So gather your people, settle in and raise a glass with us. Here’s to summer and the stories still to come.

How the Day Will Unfold

We hope the sun is shining and every corner of our outdoor spaces is filled with good cheer, lively chatter and sweeping views of the water.

Whilst you enjoy a drink or two, other tales are waiting to be told:

Tavern Bar & Light Bites

Downstairs, the Tavern Bar is alive with summer energy. Sip on crisp Aspall Cyder or enjoy light bites while music, mingling and laughter fill the air.

Continue the day and enjoy a DJ in the Tavern from 7.30pm – 10.30pm, bringing even more atmosphere as the evening unfolds.

A day of food, drink, laughter and stories awaits. Whether you’re basking in the sun outdoors, enjoying a drink with friends or joining in the fun inside, every corner of The Dickens Inn has a tale to tell and a memory ready to be made.

Dine at Poplars

For those who fancy lingering a while, wander up to our top floor restaurant, Poplars, where the balcony looks out over the lively celebration below. Full of laughter, music and the easy hum of summer.

Here, starters are made for sharing, perfect for a lighter bite, while heartier favourites. From Doom Bar® beer-battered fish and chips to Turkish chicken skewers and our much loved Tower Burger are there when you’re ready to tuck in.

Named after Charles Dickens’ first published tale, A Dinner at Poplar Walk (1833), Poplars carries on a tradition of good food, good company and shared moments so you can settle in, savour the day and then wander back down to raise a glass and re join the celebration.
